Mosque Hopping!

This morning we were trained in Hinduism by a man who had previously been a Hindu. After lunch we visited a Sikh Gudwara, a Hindu temple and a Mosque. The Sikh temple was the fanciest. We went into a large room and sat down. At the front was a golden tent and to the right there were three men singing their scriptures. The Hindu temple wasn't as ornate downstairs but when we got into a room up some steps there were statues dressed in pink robes on the left side of the wall and larger statues at the front with a priest praying for the people that came to the front. At the Mosque we met the Imam and he told us a little about the Muslim faith. At all three worship sites, we had to take off our shoes and at three of them, the women had to where head coverings (scarves) and the guys had to wear bandanas on their head at the Sikh Gudwara. This evening we're going to the site where the Olympics will take place and also to have dinner there.
